Judith Kunst
Grant writer and strategist Judith Kunst brings award-winning talents as a poet to the world of competitive grant writing. After all, both poems and grant applications are forms of writing under artificial constraints—and both can change lives! Since earning an MFA in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College, Judith’s poems have appeared in The Atlantic, Poetry, and many other journals and anthologies as well as in her books The Way Through (Mayapple Press 2020) and The Burning Word (Paraclete Press 2006). Her writing has also supported nonprofit communication and fundraising needs throughout the country, most recently in Evansville as Youth First’s inaugural Grants Manager (2018-2023).
Funding won by proposals written and strategized by Judith has put social workers into low income schools, outfitted non-profits with new accounting systems, provided advocacy and support to children with autism spectrum disorder, strengthened volunteer attorneys giving pro bono legal guidance, built a mobile HIV/AIDS prevention clinic, and much more.
For Judith, Top Right Quadrant living includes watercolor painting, homemade espresso, long walks with her dog Rudy, and time with any of her three sons.
